After almost 25 years working as a licensed RN in Louisiana and Texas caring for patients both inpatient and outpatient from ICU, surgical services, general pediatrics and neonatal care to outpatient direct care, telephone triage and insurance coverage utilization review area I found myself really enjoying learning the insurance medical billing utilization review (yes the boring stuff!). It was effortless most of the time and I soon became a clinic resource for my colleagues. A personal experience opened my eyes to how many of us need help with insurance and subconsciously guided me down this path

When my son was an infant I was confused and helpless about insurance benefits! I was forced to quickly learn that I should know how insurance coverage worked when reaching out for help from the HR dept with both of our employer plans at the time. No one was able to help our family utilize an active benefit or answer our questions about how to utilize that benefit that was provided by employer plan and published in the employee literature for yearly benefits. I literally had to figure it out by myself. An eye wide opening moment. Since then, I always ensured my family received the best care used all benefits cost-effectively with best chosen plan from employer options available. Not always easy, a good comparison would be Jenga?

In 2020 about a month before Covid I listened to a nurse entrepreneur podcast and I realized it was time to pivot my nursing career into a more focused area of my true passion which is patient education, care and benefits management. I began pouring my heart and soul into researching and studying the industry and sat for the state licensing test. I aligned with some of the best in the business that provide top-notch on-going support ,education and resources such as always updating software and quoting tools with live education for the Medicare changes that occur all year long.

I am a licensed independent life and health broker specializing in both Medicare supplements and Medicare advantage plans. I test and certify yearly to be an approved broker for Medicare advantage plans with CMS as well as with each individual insurance company providing those plans. I also offer many other insurance products including federal health marketplace individual and family plans as well as many different ancillary insurance products.

Medicare coverage really is an always changing maze to get through and there is a never-ending need to have accurate, up to date and easy to understand information as well as have a lifelong trusting ethical resource person as your individual needs evolve. I am here to provide efficient concierge level service and support to navigate the Medicare maze and empower with unbiased education all year long, not only during the enrollment periods.

As an independent broker I do not work for one insurance company but I am contracted to provide insurance with most carriers in the states I am licensed in. I will provide information about all the plan options and carriers in your area so you can be confident in making your individual decision based on your personal health and financial situation. Your information is always private and there is no fee for my service.

In addition to Texas, I am also available by video or telephone as I am licensed in the states of Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee and am contracted with many carriers to offer same types of coverage or plans previously listed.
